ANSWER TO NORWEGIAN SKY ANOMALY |

A big thanks to Light Eye, who stepped forward and answered a recent FS call for someone to translate a Norwegian news item we ran across entitled, Trodde dette var UFO. We were intrigued, not only by the headline but two accompanying pictures. Well, thanks to some excellent work on the part of our contributor, we and now you get to learn the truth of this story:
At 8.30 Friday morning a rocket was lauched from the missle platform at Åndøya. The rocket created moisture, which created clouds. At the same time the Sun illuminated the clouds and created a fantastic sight.
Nordlys (Northern Lights) received numerous questions concerning the phenomena.
Someone who saw the launch was Roy Samuelsen who lives in Åndenes. He manged to capture the moment on film.
I was 4-500 metres from the launch and I had a really panorama view.
Nordlys (Northern Lights) was quick to tell readers how the phenomena occurred, while other media sources both said that it was a meteor and/or UFOs.
It was strange to read about the meteors in the papers, Samuelsen said who works in the military and had received info concerning the launch earlier.
I understand that people are curious. It was really something fantastic to see in the sky he said.
