As the group and its guide were passing the gravesite of General Nathaniel Greene, Joe took a picture of his grandson listening to the narrative but not realising that his camera had also inadvertantly captured something else.

What he discovered later was an orb, or small ball of light present in the trees high above his grandson.

"Personally have never believed in the supernatural but this photo really shook my family up when we saw it!", says Joe in a recent communication with FarShores.

"I took about 124 photos on the trip to Savannah, this picture was the only one that showed an orb in it! I took at least 24 of these photos during the 'ghost tour' and none of them, with the execption of this one photo, had an orb in it!

"One orb in 124 photos makes me think that the camera is working properly. In fact of the thousands of photographs I took with this camera -- this is the first time it caught an orb!"

Like many people who suddenly discover an anomaly of this nature in a photo for the first time, Joe would like to know just what it is his camera has captured and wonders, "Is it dust or moisture on my lens or is it an authentic spirit of some deceased person? Our family would like to know!"

He points out, "The upper photo is an enlargement of the orb or the lighted ball of light. There has been no touch up just enlarging and brightening [of] that area. YOU CAN SEE VERY CLEARLY -- A FACE WITH TWO EYES AND A NOSE - the rest of the orb or lighted ball of light is out of focus. It seems that the face is peeking out!"

Looking at it carefully he says, "What got our attention was the fact that the eyes and nose staring out of the orb is clearly defined while the rest of the orb is fuzzy or out of focus. It actually looks like someone or thing is really peering out of the ball of light. My daughter sees also other things in the orb, all of them located in the blurry out of focus area".

Equipment used was a Nikon Coolpix 5000 digital camera and flash.

"I would appreciate hearing what other people may think of it. Right now my intellect tells me it is only my imagination to what I see. But who really knows what is out there?", adds Joe.

So, will you venture a guess as to what Joe's camera recorded reader? Given the nature of the circumstances and uniqueness of this image (no previously anomalies obtained with the equipment), is it a record of something distinctly paranormal in nature, or do you think it can easily be explained away as yet another well-known example of a spurious image created by dust, moisture, insects or whatever?
