Conspiracy theories around the moon-landing are not new. The problem-free success of the landings on earth's satellite, from a purely technical viewpoint, was actually most improbable. On the Internet calculations circulate, according to what the chances were to have mounted a successful moon program and were even once as low as 0.0017 per cent. The most important indication for all who have doubts about the moon-landing are photo comparisons. Thus the film producers and their principal witness, a former US rocket engineer are surprised that in the moon photos of Apollo no burn marks on the lunar surface are to be seen under the engine of the lander vehicle. Photos and 16-Millimeter film, on which the US flag flutters apparently in the wind, are shown again and again. Likewise are comparisons of accommodations of different Apollo landings, which were taken up allegedly all before the same window blinds. Finally shadows in the photos prove that the astronauts were illuminated with more than one source of light, i.e., in addition to the sun. Because on board the Apollo craft their were neither flashlights nor headlights at the workstation, so the photos would have to be falsified.
Naturally the conspiracy theorists also know where NASA is said to have faked the moon-landing: in the legendary AREA 51 in Nevada. The strictly guarded military area is so far [particularly with UFO-INSPIRED??] a fixed size. Because here allegedly the remains of extraterrestial ones are kept, which are said to have landed in 1947 in the USA.
The film, which mirror TV transmits in the context of this one topic during the evening, is outstanding and unfolds in largely suggestive effect. [True are however not the statements therefore?]. The production company Nash Entertainment actually controls above all the art of omitting any arguments for the reality of the moon-landing. Because based on the detailed results of the six Apollo missions many thousands of scientists all over the world have conducted their research for three decades, and not only from the USA. They would all have to be involved with NASA permanently in their enormous swindle.
Also 340 kilograms " moon rock ", which differs clearly from terrestrial material, would have had to be manufactured somehow. The fact that some astronauts of the Apollo project died is well-known. But many more live still and report on their moon walks. Hardly conceivable that not one of them would have uncovered the lie. So the film is energizing and good viewing, but not at revealing the truth. BM

Ein Mediencoup im Kalten Krieg, an dem die Nasa seit 32 Jahren festhält? Das jedenfalls behauptet eine Dokumentation, die morgen Abend um 22 Uhr bei Spiegel TV auf Vox gezeigt wird.
Verschwörungstheorien rund um die Mondlandung sind nicht neu. Tatsächlich war das problemlose Gelingen der Landung auf dem Erdtrabanten, rein technisch gesehen, höchst unwahrscheinlich. Im Internet kursieren Rechnungen, laut denen die Chance auf ein erfolgreiches Mondprogramm gerade einmal 0,0017 Prozent betragen haben soll. Wichtigstes Indiz für alle Zweifel an der Mondlandung sind Fotovergleiche. So wundern sich die Filmemacher und ihr Kronzeuge, ein ehemaliger US-Raketeningenieur, dass auf den Mondfotos von Apollo 11 unter dem Triebwerk des Landevehikels keine Verbrennungen auf der Mondoberfläche zu sehen sind. Immer wieder angeführt werden Fotos und 16-Millimeter-Filme, auf denen die US-Flagge scheinbar im Wind flattert. Beliebt sind ebenfalls Vergleiche von Aufnahmen verschiedener Apollo-Landungen, die angeblich alle vor denselben Kulissen aufgenommen wurden. Schließlich sollen Schatten beweisen, dass die Fotos der Astronauten mit mehr als einer Lichtquelle, nämlich der Sonne, entstanden. Weil an Bord der Apollo-Fähren aber nachweislich weder Blitzlichter noch Scheinwerfer Platz hatten, müssten die Fotos gefälscht sein.
Natürlich wissen die Verschwörungstheoretiker auch, wo die Nasa die Mondlandung vorgetäuscht haben soll: in der legendären Area 51 in Nevada. Das streng abgeschirmte Militärgelände ist bisher vor allem bei Ufo-Begeisterten eine feste Größe. Denn hier sollen angeblich die Reste jener Außerirdischen aufbewahrt werden, die 1947 in den USA gelandet sein sollen.
Der Film, den Spiegel TV im Rahmen eines Themenabends über «Nachrichten aus dem All» sendet, ist hervorragend gemacht und entfaltet große suggestive Wirkung. Wahr sind die Behauptungen deshalb aber nicht. Tatsächlich beherrscht die Produktionsfirma Nash Entertainment vor allem die Kunst des Weglassens - nämlich von Argumenten für die Realität der Mondlandung. Denn mit den Detailergebnissen der sechs Apollo-Missionen arbeiten seit drei Jahrzehnten viele Tausend Wissenschaftler in aller Welt, nicht nur aus den USA. Sie alle müssten die Nasa dauerhaft einbinden in ihren riesigen Schwindel.
Auch hätten 340 Kilogramm «Mondgestein», das sich deutlich von irdischem Material unterscheidet, irgendwie hergestellt werden müssen. Dass einige Astronauten des Apollo-Projektes gestorben sind, ist bekannt. Doch viel mehr leben noch und berichten von ihren Mondspaziergängen. Kaum vorstellbar, dass keiner von ihnen die Lüge aufgedeckt hätte. Ganz zu schweigen von den tausenden Mitwissern, die den Schwindel inszeniert haben müssen. So ist der Film zwar anregend und gute Unterhaltung, aber keine Offenbarung der Wahrheit. BM
