INC 1998 GIANT FLYING TRIANGLE

Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Date: 1947 or 1948

In your report about 1940s you missed a big one, In the summer of 1947 or 1948 in Jacksonville Florida I was about 10 years old when my whole family saw one big bright light in the sky about 20 mile out at about 10,000 feet, and out of this real bright light three smaller bight lights came out and sat there for about a minute. Then they would shoot across the sky in different directions, I would say 20 miles from the starting point and they would come to a complete stop, and some times they would sit there for a little bit and shoot off into a different direction. All three of the smaller lights would move in this matter. The real bight light stayed in the same location, about a hour of this they returned to the big bright light and it just disappeared. This happened about 3 or 4 days in a row, in the same location in the sky. Approx: half the city called in to report this action they saw in the sky and the newspaper put a story in the paper about these lights because so many people saw them across the city. Alot of people thought that is was going to be the end of the world. The reason I can tell the difference in altitude and distance is because I am a pilot, with lots of hours of flight time in my own aircraft, this was one time in my life that scared me and my whole family. If I knew how to get the record from the newspaper, I'm sure I could download it for you because after three days they didn't say another word about it. The military said they had no aircraft in the air at that time. These lights were traveling at over approx: 10,000 mile a hour or more and they didn't make a sound. At the time they were training pilots in PBYs at a Navy Base and you could hear them 30 miles away, that's how much noise they made. So it was not any airplane, the jet aircraft was not in production at that time and they could not fly at that speed even if there were. This is the only UFO experience that I have had in my life time.. and I can assure you that they are out there.

Time: 8:30 p.m.

My friend and I were walking down the street of our neighborhood. We both saw these lights up in the sky which were just stationary in the shape of a triangle. Three lights. We kept walking....not paying much attention to it, but as we started talking about what it was we saw, there seemed to be a discrepancy in what she saw and I saw. So we turned around to check it out again. We had to walk back to almost the exact spot where we were, to really see it, and as we stood there looking up at it, it began to spin. It just hovered, which really freaked us out because there was absolutely No sound coming from it. And as we stood there it just started moving off at a pretty rapid rate of speed. Never a sound was made from it. It seemed so close when we first saw it, but I don't ever remember seeing anything but the 3 lights in the triangular shape. I always knew it was not of our world, but of course nobody else would believe that. I don't know what kind of craft, even today, is able to just hover without any engine noise. Do you? I was only 14 years old at the time, but I'll never forget it.

Round sphere bright luminous orange with vein like marks throughout about the size of a house traveling in a straight line across the sky i was only a short distance away waiting for a bus. I watched the object for about 20 seconds it wasn't moving very fast but then it began to ascend at an angle of about 60 degrees and continued to ascend till it disappeared from view. I didn't report the event because there was only myself as a witness but from that time I have been a firm believer in these objects. The object I saw was impossible for it to have been made by humans at the present time I could tell this from the way it was glowing and by its shape and size and the way it ascended into the sky. This is a true account.

Location: Rural Roy, Washington, (Puget Sound area)
Date: 1998 (maybe 1997)
Time: Between 9:00 and 11:00 p.m.

In the year 1998 (maybe 1997) I lived in a rural farming area (5 miles east of the city of Roy) about 20 miles south of Tacoma, Washington. Our ranch was directly under the McChord AFB flight line landing zone and a few miles south of the Ft. Lewis training area. Very common was all sorts of aircraft flying over the house between 500 and 1500 feet. This particular evening was cool and clear. I was in the house with my kids when my now ex-wife was outside feeding the horses when she began pounding the living room window so hard I thought she would break it. She yelled at me to come out side. When I did, I observed overhead and slightly to the north and northbound an almost silent craft. As I recall now, I remember hearing a hum.

What I distinctly recall is the back side had at least two lighted cylindrical ports. They appeared to be exhaust ports. Both were glowing yellowish and "dripping" some sort of burning flame, not unlike plastic drips as it burns. The drips fell from the craft only a few feet and extinguished. What my ex told me was that the craft was a very large triangle, several football fields large, much larger then the common large McChord aircraft. The craft had numerous windows on it that emitted light as if interior lights were on. The craft came from the west, just above treetop level, floated to directly above our house and then made a right angle LEFT turn, over our house and then proceeded north. The craft was moving slower then the slowest aircraft we have ever seen and we had seen probably thousands over the past approximate 10 years that we lived there. This craft was NOTHING like we have ever seen or heard and moved like NOTHING we have ever seen or heard. We were not the only ones to see it but we were the only ones who reported being within 500 feet of it. The craft proceeded north over Tacoma where many of our friends reported seeing it from several miles away. It continued north thru the Puget Sound area to north of Seattle.

The local news showed the footage of the crafts lights obtained from the Space Needle. Official response was that it was falling space debris. The military had no reasonable response although many reported the military helicopters firing up and taking chase. As I recall we heard the copters firing up from our house, others saw them flying after it. Later reports came out saying that it had been earlier seen in Oregon and as I recall California and then as far north as Canada. I did report it to one of the internet UFO reporting sites. At the time I was a Tacoma police officer, my ex wife ran our horse breeding ranch. Its suspicious that it purposely flew in the flight line for McChord AFB which makes me think its some top secret government project. But then why would it fly over heavily populated areas and allow itself to be recorded by the Space Cam on top of the Space Needle?

Time: 4:00 p.m.

I just found your email address on unknowncountry.com saying to submit UFO reports to you. I didn't really know who exactly to report this to, so you're my best bet so far. As I was driving in south Edmonton earlier this year (probably around March), I saw an absolutely huge UFO in the sky during broad daylight hours. It was obviously some type of metallic structure, and matched most other UFO descriptions. It was probably about 500 feet in the air and 300 feet in front of me, moving very slowly and changing it's direction a lot as if it were lost or scanning the ground looking for something. I tried to follow it but it disappeared into thin air after about 10 or 15 seconds after I spotted it. This is the first time I've ever seen something like this, I'm not crazy, I know what I saw.

Additional Information:
Okay, it was a while ago, and I never wrote it down, but I'll give you all of the info I am sure about. Weather: Sunny day with scattered clouds (at about 4:00 p.m. because I was driving a friend home) Sky Location : I was driving East and it was probably about 60 or 70 degrees upwards, just enough that I had to make an effort to bend my neck to see it. It looked like the "classic" flying saucer (two plates pressed together), it was silver/grey, obviously metallic, probably about 100-150 feet in diameter (I'm not too sure), & no sound. There is the Edmonton International Airport probably about 45 km away from where I was, but this was not a plane. No nearby military bases. Extra (about lost/scanning): Like I said, it was moving back and forth across the sky, stopping, and moving up and down, all very slowly. I was actually very surprised to see it being absent on the 6:00 news. I don't know why, but as I watched it, it reminded me of a person looking for a contact lens on the ground (slowly looking around and scanning areas one at a time). I'm sorry I can't elaborate on that more, but that's the closest thing I could compare the way in which it was acting.

Date: July 5, 2004
Time: 4:00 a.m.

In the early morning of July 5 2004 at approximately 4:00 a.m at Peterborough Ontario Canada my cousin and myself observed a fast moving object overhead and then it disappear over an area called Little lake. A few moments later we observed a triangle of three lights (bright). We thought it was just the stars at first but then the lights we thought were stars began to move, it then disappeared back towards Little Lake (easterly direction) Now fast forward 2 days at approximately 3.30 a.m. on Lafayette Ave in Peterborough.

Earlier in the evening I had observed a bright streak in the sky toward the east so I was watching the eastern sky close. All of a sudden I observed 2 small bright fast moving objects moving to the east. Very fast I might add so here I'm watching towards the east not paying attention directly overhead. All of a sudden everything just seemed to get real quiet. Eerie quiet. I'm looking east then I just get these creepy feeling that something was watching me, you know what I mean. I turned and looked down the street towards the General Electric plant (900 feet approximately ) I swear I couldn't hear the background noises you usually hear traffic dogs etc.

So now I notice the glow from the street light seemed to be changing color on the cars on the street. Then I look up. My god there it is coming right over the house. This thing is massive!I swear I could have hit it with a sling shot. So its kind of slowly idling east, at like I don't know 5 kmish maybe. The craft stops, then starts going sideways now towards the GE plant, it seemed as wide as the distance between GE and our house. Now I don't know much about this stuff but I swear this is one evil looking outfit with 3 lights (brownish orange very dim ) One at each point of the triangle not that it is pointed but at the ends. The ends are rounded off, I will send a little drawing I made. It seems to be a blue black color but flat no shine, almost a rough finish, a circular dome dead center of the bottom in a hexagon type enclosure. No light or glowing color on this dome. This is set in an indented area that almost had the look of the surface of a pool. I could now see the one side that appeared to have some kind of indentations probably doors or some kind of hatch. It sat there for probably 3 minutes, but seemed like a lifetime. Then it just moved so fast you couldn't even tell the direction it went. Anyway I have seen it twice since then but it was a lot higher up. Probably 1500 feet.

Maybe its just me or maybe something else but I know they know I saw them. I don't think these guys are real friendly. I could just feel it. Anyway couple observations. Next day my neighbors Dodge Intrepids battery was completely zapped. He had to replace the alternator and battery the next day. His Olds wouldn't start either, the alternator and battery fried. His Name is (removed) and I'm sure he would verify that. My Camry's two month old Kenwood stereo fried. Rear light wiring fried. Battery was completely dead by 2:00 o'clock in the afternoon, so I recharged it and it came back to life. Still had problems with the wiring so I had it repaired at Russell Toyota in Peterborough 489 dollars...

One other thing I would like to add, there was the weak aroma of like a burnt transformer in the air for a few minutes after the craft left. I might add as well I went into the back yard and alley behind the house to get a good view of this thing because I couldn't see all three lights from the street because of its size.

Sighting Dates and times - July 5, 2004...4:00 a.m / July 7, 2004 - Close sighting as per sketches 3:30 a.m / July 17, 2004 - 1500 feet approximately details hard to see just shape and 3 light. Moved east then drifted towards G.E / August 26, 2004 - Triangle lights looked like brighter than usual stars moving east.

Additional Information:
Well the first object was moving very fast but slowing to some extent. It was moving from the west towards the east and dropping till we lost site of it behind the buildings. It was an orangish object. Very bright! We would have been looking in a North to Northeast direction. I get mixed up with the directions. The altitude I would say when first in view was probably 5000 feet descending to 1000 feet, It came on what seemed to be an exact path of the triangle lights. The first triangular lights seemed to be a bit bigger and clearer but I had no idea until I saw the one over the house how big it was. What I found out today is that General Electric here supposedly stopped making reactor parts years ago. But I found a site while searching that sheds some light on this http://www.cnwc-cctn.ca/gefuel.html I asked people what they do there at the plant and nobody seems to know. I have only lived here a while so I thought they might have been making fridges or something. At the gate to GE on Monaghan drive it seems really secure. This is a huge plant I can see the plant right from my (removed) but that street it is on called Albert and is a half mile long and the plant runs the distance of the street. I guess there are only 700 workers in the plant now but it did employ upwards of 7000 at one time. They make fuel pellets for the Candu Reactors but you can't find it on one single GE site anywhere.

About the time: It seemed like it was 3 minutes but when I came back in the house it was 5:17 by my computer. So one and a half hours passed roughly. This thing was directly overhead but it sort of stopped then drifted towards the plant. What I mean by directly overhead (the front) I assume it was the front seemed directly over and inline with the driveway. I had to go into the backyard, into the alley to see it all and that's when I got the feeling they knew I was there. Then I went running back out to the street and saw a girl running like heck towards the other street (Chamberlaine) It rotated slightly to its left as it drifted over the plant. I still get Goosebumps just thinking about it. The front moved till it was almost out past Jackson Ave. I'll see if I can do a picture over a map if I can find one.

Unusual sensations: Well other than being freaked out I seemed to have my hearing kind of muffled. Like I had a head cold sort of effect. A couple times I had the momentary feeling like I was lost or didn't know where I was. Weather: Its always been overcast, partly cloudy. But the sky seems to clear up just at the right time. See, what really scared the ba jezus out of me was that I was watching to the east looking for those lights to reappear and the thing kind of creeped up behind me. So I was really startled when I looked up so it was just moving dead slow at this point from the west.

Street lights: The reflections on the cars changed from the usual glow, to a more I guess orangish glow. I saw the shadows on the street change a bit so I knew there was something above me and I looked up and just thought, Oh my god, what the heck is that. I don't think anyone would have heard me scream if I did scream any way. Its like noise was being suppressed somehow. Like some kind of silence field around the thing and maybe I was in that field? Not sure. Would be 3 cars I know of that had electrical screw ups the next day. I don't talk to a lot of people around here and the flood happened the next day, so 24 hours after the sighting everything was so crazy. I sure had some weird dreams and stuff since this happened. I seem to really notice the shape in architecture and stuff. My wife says its like I've had some little psychic twinge switched on. Like I'll know the phone is going to ring before it does things like that. Thank you to the witness for the report.

My son just ran inside to tell me he saw a disk shaped object with a green light on top and some kind of blue illumination under. The sky was dark but not black yet. I asked him how he could see both top and bottom. He says it was stationary in the sky, in a tilted position. It was thin. He compared it to a CD. It seemed metallic. Then it flew at great speed (he called it superextraterrestrial speed) towards east. There's a ridge over there so he lost it behind the trees. I asked him to extend his arm and tell me if it was bigger than his thumb and he said it was as big as his 2 thumbs together.

Additional Information:
My son just saw a UFO! I had him draw it because I thought he could have seen a meteor or something. Saucer shaped, green light on top, blue light on bottom. I'll go fill a report on the site. He said the bluish light under made it look rusty colour. I missed it because hubby wouldn't come with me outside to look at the stars! I'll try to see if someone else saw it around here. Pilots approaching. Rochester airport must have seen it!
