INC. ORB-LIKE OBJECTS OVER PHOENIX, AZ

Date: 1981
Time: 9:00 to 12:00 p.m.

I watched the UFO for some ten minutes traveling east bound at about 3000 feet on the south side of I-80. The lights looked like landing lights of a large jet and I was watching it land or so I thought. It did a floating kind of bounce and the lights flared brightly like a bright star for an instant but it settled back down and began to cross to the north side of the interstate. It was a couple of miles ahead of me so when I got to the place where it crossed over, I looked to the left side of the interstate and saw a housing development with street lights instead of an airport runway. There was snow on the ground and the roofs of the houses. Now I was really curious about a large jet so low to the ground but I had lost sight of it. As I began to cross the river I spied it on the north side of the highway above the large power transmission line towers. That's when I was closest and my heart did skip a beat.

It was much larger than two jets. It was silent and it floated 180 degrees to the south without banking like a plane. It was the color of a shotgun barrel. The lights on the smaller foot balls was very bright white, vertical cat eye shaped and very large. One to each smaller football. I wanted to stop and view it but traffic was heavy both directions and there was snow piled up along the road on the shoulder so there was no opportunity to pull off. I am not easily frightened but this thing did. I thought at the time that it is from the future. I wondered why no one else stopped to look at it. There were hundreds of cars both east and west bound. I wrote to Allen Hyneck , to report it and he did put it in a little newsletter and send me a copy which I have lost. I wondered why he was advertising on the radio to report such things as he is in the government and they know a great deal more than I. It truly looked out of this world. Even weeks later when looking up at the night sky intense feelings of fear washed over me. The last I saw it, it was in the rearview mirror lighting up a clump of trees on the south side of the interstate.

Location: Auberry, California
Date: September 6, 1982
Time: 10:00 p.m.

I had returned home from a family BBQ (it was Labor Day here in the States) and went out to turn off some sprinklers when our two dogs began barking. I thought there was a car on the road, but there was not, so I looked up and there was a disk-shaped light crossing the sky from E to W. There are some power lines that run alongside the road and off to the house where my mom and step-dad now live, and the object was following those lines running to that house. (My mom and I lived in a mobile home about 100 yards. away from her current residence).

The UFO changed color: red-blue-orange-yellow-white-red, in that order. Size was about that of a dime at arm's length. Both dogs were barking continuously throughout the sighting, which was about 2-3 minutes. The porch light and yard light both dimmed, but did not go out. My Mom was inside and did not see the UFO, but she told me later that her TV was having interference while I was outside. I reported the sighting to the Center for UFO Studies, who sent me a questionnaire, which I filled out and returned, but they did not let me know about any follow-up. (maybe because of my age at the time-12).

Auberry is in the traffic pattern for Fresno-Yosemite IAP in Fresno, and I am familiar with aircraft, especially at night. In addition, I am a military aircraft buff, and have had a familiarity with military aircraft since the age of 7, and this was no aircraft. The weather was clear, but I don't remember the temperature, but it was in the mid-90s, and there was no wind at all. There are two military bases near: Fresno ANGB (at Fresno-Yosemite IAP-they had F-106s at the time) and NAS Lemoore. Castle AFB near Merced was active at the time, with B-52s and KC-135s, but closed in 1995. What I saw did not appear to be any military aircraft.

Date: Summer of 1989
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

That night my brother and I were about to cross the street to go to the IGA to get something for our mom and just as we were about to cross the street these 3 boomerang shaped objects hovered over us it was as if time had suspended .On each object there were 3 large lights one in the top part and at each tip of it. It hovered over us about 15 to 20 feet above us and stayed there for what seemed like an eternity, we than freaked out and ran right back home without going to the store when we got inside we were scared and when our mother had asked what happened well, we told her and every one else home they thought we were crazy until we started crying.

We know what we saw and they were not street lights or aircraft (airplanes). Now here it is 2004 and I am now 27 and that night is still fresh in my mind as if it just happened. I KNOW WE ARE NOT CRAZY! Funny thing is the other night I was watching a show about UFO and called my brother right away! Because what we had seen on TV that night is EXACTLY what we had seen that night in 89.Our hearts were racing and at the same time we were so scared because we knew that it is and was real.

I was babysitting my grandbaby. When she fell asleep on the couch I stepped outside to smoke a cigarette. I was standing in the yard in front of my open front door when this very large shaped passed directly overhead. It was flying very low and very slowly and made no noise that I could detect. The object was heading directly south toward the Air Force Base, which is only a few miles from my former apartment where this occurred. I had plenty of time to realize that even if I ran for my camera there was no film, look over my shoulder to see if any of my neighbors lights were on (they weren't) and realize that there was no one else I could show this to.

The object passed slowly overhead and I quickly lost sight of it as it seemed to just blend into the sky. I even considered chasing it in my car but could not because of the sleeping baby inside. It was dark, black, and visible only because it blotted out the stars and it had small lights on each corner and another (red?) light directly in the center. I never reported it because I didn't think I'd be believed and because I almost couldn't believe it was real. I thought that because it was heading right for the military base (Kirtland AFB) it must be one of ours. Years later I began to hear about triangular craft being reported over populated areas and I knew then that I was not the only one to have seen this sort of thing. Whatever it was, it was not trying to hide.

Harrison Lake, B.C.
Date: Spring of 2000
Time: 9:30 p.m.

Driving down the east side of Harrison lake coming home from camping at the hot springs 20km up the gravel road. My girlfriend and I spotted a light on the other side of the lake. Kilometers away we could barely see it through the trees when we were driving in my jeep. I came to a clearing in the bush and came to a stop to stare at this unusual light far away from any civilization. The light looked like a forest fire approximately a kilometer in length. It was an orangey color. It started moving slowly up the side of the mountain across the lake from us. We continued to watch as the light climbed farther up the hillside. As it climaxed the mountain it simply disappeared like someone turned the lights out. This took about one minute from when we started watching it climb. The total time of the sighting from start to finish was 2 and a half min roughly. As the light went out my girlfriend freaked out and started crying.

She told me to get the hell out of there so I proceeded to step on the gas and take off. The next corner we got to my truck strangely shut off. No power in the engine. All the instrument gages still functioned so there was no break in electricity. With the truck not moving my girlfriend panicked and started crying even more go go go go go go she said. I tried starting it and it worked. Peeling out we got out of there as fast as possible. I kind of wanted to go back because its not often that you see something like that but she wouldn't let me. Anyways that's my story I wonder if anyone else seen it at the same time. I could figure the date out a little more accurately if you need me to.

Time: Between 11:00 - 12:00 p.m.

I know that I'm a little late but just found your page and I'm so happy that someone else saw the same thing that my husband and I saw that night. We were driving home from a trip to Banff and we were almost to Red Deer (I think the time was somewhere between 11:00 and 12:00pm). We were just chatting when all of a sudden the night sky lit up. It was as bright as day for a couple of seconds. We like to compare it to the Truman show; almost like someone turned the lights on for a minute and then realized that it wasn't day yet. I've never seen anything like it and I will never forget it. We didn't see any kind of craft but we weren't looking in to the sky until we saw the flash of light. I know that this information probably isn't very helpful but I just wanted to let you know that there are a couple of other people out there who saw this very strange event. I've researched meteorites and I'm quite sure that is not what we saw. I don't know what it was but it gave us a lot to talk about the rest of the way home.

I was reading the report of a UFO between Edmonton and Calgary on December 13 2003. I also saw the flash of light on highway 2 heading north, about on 5 minutes past Innisfail, Alberta.I was just going over the hill north of Innisfail at about 11:30 pm and had a great view of the surrounding prairie, I could clearly see the orange glow from the city of Reddeer, I could see a half moon to the East which was still quite low in the sky, while I was looking at the moon I saw a bright meteor light the sky up ahead of me, it looked like a camera flash had gone off because it lit up the surrounding countryside, I didn't see where the meteor came down, it just winked out, I did see several meteors past Reddeer, but none were as bright, I found out later on that night that it was one the annual Geminid meteors which are at their height on that Saturday Dec 13th.

Time: 6:30 a.m.

After returning to Chicago after working in Wisconsin overnight, we made Chicago just after daybreak and were standing in front of our shop unloading our tools, both of us (my work partner and I), both commented on how strange the clouds looked today. After a few seconds we found ourselves both staring at the same place in the sky for a minute and commenting to each other it was a strange feeling about that one particular spot that kept making us glance up to that point in the sky. I joked that there was probably a U.F.O up there that we couldn't see with our eyes, but could more or less sense. I got our camera and snapped a couple of pictures. of the cloud bank and sure enough when I downloaded them to the computer something showed up, I'm not saying I was right but there seemed to be a presence up there getting our attention. NOTE as I've often heard from other reports.. object was not visible to the naked eye... Please tell me what you think!

Time: 4:36 p.m.

I was out in the backyard cleaning up after the heavy rains we had this weekend when I saw a white dot in the sky just East of my house. The winds today are 10-20MPH to the SW at the time of sighting and a clear sky with a very thin haze from last night's rain. The white dot seems to be very high, maybe 10K ft. but moving slowly North opposite the wind direction. I taped it for a minute zooming in and out trying to get a good reference but it was very high and hard to keep in camera's view. I thought I lost it for a second, which I did, but saw another orb above into the area. I was watching it move closer from the East right above the other orb and then it disappeared and re-appeared but it attached itself to the other orb I was taping. It was there one second and gone the next. But since it was by the other orb I noticed the first orb looked bigger than before and realized the other orb attached itself to it. That's what makes sense and that is how it appeared to happen. What can I say?

I thought I was seeing things, really! I focused in on the orbs I was taping and I was right. It was now two orbs together which you dubbed the "Arizona Barbell". It continued on a North path and seemed to be traveling at a very fast speed now. Two or three times faster than a plane. So I taped it pretty well (I thought so) for a minute or so and when I was trying to refocus for a better picture I lost it. It was hard to find because of the thin haze and how fast it started to go I guess. It was not balloons because it went in a different direction than the wind and the orbs were in a fixed position. Two balloons in this scenario would be spinning and tumbling with the winds we had today. Besides another person here in Az.(Jeff Willes from Ufosoverphoenix.com) is recording the same thing and he's only a few miles from where I live. Very cool.

Location: At the lake park Oshawa, Ontario
Date: September 20, 2004
Time: 10:30 to 10:45 a.m.

My mother and I were watching a small plane go by and head back north to the airport. While we were looking up but turned to look south east we saw this circle of light, blue sky in the centre. We took pictures and watched with binoculars. It was quite far but with the binoculars the circle was quite bright, reminding me of a solar eclipse. We watched for close to 15 minutes as it moved slowly across the sky to the east and then disappeared. There was a trail of exhaust from the small plane. The circle was near the exhaust but didn't lose its shape like the exhaust. I have four pictures with the circle. It may be nothing but I'm curious as to what it was.

I live in the Andes mountains in central Chile. At 1:47 a.m. this morning I heard a very strange sound which seemed to be right over our house, a sort of very rapid "whooshing" sound..it is actually difficult to describe because I've never heard anything like it before. It sounded like some type of craft started off right near our house, overhead, and then zoomed off toward the mountains but making this air-like sound, not any mechanical sounds. But it (the sound) moved very rapidly and was gone in about two seconds. Sorry...I'm not trying to report anything here because I didn't see anything. What I'm writing about is to ask if there are any statistics available about what hours of the day or night do MORE (or most) sightings occur, and is there any certain days of the months where more occur, or months of the year?

I was outside the other night and I looked up at the stars and I saw a round looking blur with white, green, red, and blue flashing lights. Never seen one of these before. So I look around some more and notice there is 4 of these. They all look the same altitude, and they are in the n.w.,s.w.,s.e.,n.e. from my home. These things hovered for hours last time I looked was about 12:00 p.m. and they were still there same spot never move. During the day I cant see them only at night what the heck are these things?

This is a report of what may have been angel hair, and possible craft in the distance. I was driving from work at about 1:00 p.m. on my way to get lunch. It was a clear day, blue sky, no wind, hot. I noticed a long strand of web or silk like material floating a few feet in front of my car. It was floating vertically as if hanging out of the sky. It was several feet long but I couldn't tell where it ended at the top because it seems to get thinner and almost invisible at the top. It had a somewhat thicker "glob" on the bottom. At first I shrugged it off, although I thought it was strange that it was floating by so quickly when there was hardly a bit of wind that day. It was hot, about 80 degrees and really no wind to speak of. I pretty much put it out of my mind, and went to a shopping center about a mile away to get lunch. Walking back to my car after getting a sandwich, I saw another piece of the same stuff floating overhead just above the small trees in the parking lot.

It was a bit different in shape, but I could tell it was the same material. It was a little shorter than the first and had thicker globs on each end. I drove a few blocks to my apartment and on getting out of the car, I looked up and saw two more floating fast overhead. These appeared to be on an upward path, but again there was no wind. Inside my apartment, I got my binoculars and sat in front of a window. I must have seen 10 or 12 more strands of this stuff. Some were going up at a high rate of speed, while others seemed to be coming down. They bent strangely in the air, almost like they were dancing. Through the binoculars, as I watched a piece of this stuff doing its "dance", I noticed a small object way in the distance that was moving in jittery spurting motions through the sky.It was moving very quickly and I lost track of it within 10 or 15 seconds. I went back to work and on my way home that evening about 5:30 p.m.

I saw one more strand, again floating near where I saw the first one. This one I probably could have reached out my car window and grabbed if I had the nerve, but I didn't want people to think I was nuts, so I didn't. I haven't seen anymore of the stuff after that. This is not my only experience with seeing unusual things in the sky, but these instances all seem to become very vague to me a couple days after they happen...I never forget them, but it's as if the details become sketchy very quickly.
