East Kilbride appears to be getting targeted by UFO’s according to numerous reports of a mysterious object in the sky over the town.
The News reported last week how Kenneth Gebbie, from The Murray, claimed he had seen a bright object in the sky above the Whirlies Roundabout which he described as a “a giant moving moon,” and since then further sightings of the object have flooded in.
After reading the article Finlay Smith, 49, from Hamilton, came forward to dispute claims the object may have been the result of a laser beam and is certain what he saw was a UFO.
Mr Smith claims he spotted the object around midnight on August 2 — four days before Mr Gebbie’s sighting.
He said: “I was driving along the Queensway when I noticed what I thought was the moon. But this was no moon, it was just as Mr Gebbie described; about 15- to 20-times the size of a full moon with craters on it and it was moving fast.”
