Star Like Object Appeared To Change To A Diamond Shape

This is interesting. On a whim, I was googling for any "2008 UFO sightings southern Oregon" and hit the above post. The reason I was searching was because on January 18th, between 7:30PM to 8PM+, my wife and I saw a similar object from our home near Hugo, Oregon. I only remember the exact date/time because I tried to take a picture (which I did not get due to "user error") of the object, but retrieved the RAW time/date of the failed photo as I post this email.
I happened to look out our bedroom window around 7:30 p.m. and noticed a very bright "star-like" object due East of our home. The night was clear and cold, and I especially noticed it because it was centered between two "real" stars that night, which were much dimmer. With the naked eye, it looked almost like it was pulsing. I went and got out my 40x sighting scope to take a further look, and basically could see a "fuzzy" something, that seemed to be alternating with red, green and white light. At one point while looking through the scope, I thought I saw it morph into a diamond-shaped light (flat on top with the "diamond" pointing down) that had a tail of light underneath it (length about twice the height of the "diamond"). While the object looked still to the naked eye, in the scope it looked like it was jittering in place (and no, I took into account trying to hold the scope still while looking [you jam the scope against the window]).
Because of the "fuzziness" of the object/light, I have no idea how far away it was. It could have been one mile or one million miles. I do know that there was no sound coming from that direction, and if it were a helicopter within 1 to 3 miles away I would have heard it. Also, I doubt a helicopter could hover so precisely in place from more than 1/2 hour (at least, we both got bored after that). I checked back about 40 minutes later and it was gone (the real "stars" where still there). Also, while watching this object, I did notice a jet fly over at high altitude (no sound but a visible Conrail). The I5 corridor is typically a busy commercial jet route.
Huge Bright Object Moving Fast

It was a very bright light (almost looked like a full moon) that moved very quickly and only lasted for a couple of seconds. Almost looked like a shooting star, but it was way too big! My dad and I saw it high in the sky over our home through our patio window in lower Sackville.
Object Changes Color From White To Red

I was driving home from Dmacc, the Ankeny campus and I was almost near the Altoona city limits when all of a sudden this white bright flashing light caught my attention. The object was heading north, but then all a sudden the object switched directions and started heading south. Then the flashing light died out then it just started glowing red and the object was also descending. It looked pretty large now and I have seen similar pulsing craft like this one, but they didn't fly as low as this object did. But there's more, the object also switched directions another time it then changed it's course from heading south and then started heading west. It crossed over the road and descended a little more and kind of picked up speed. It was hard to tell the shape of the object. It looked kind of tilted and it was strange. Total time this object was in sight was about five minutes. There sure have been some weird craft seen in the area lately.
Three Blindingly Bright Objects

My Mother reported this to me and to numerous television stations, it shook her up pretty bad. I've never heard her this distraught over anything ever, initially I thought it was Ball Lightning or something coming in ahead of the asteroid due on Tuesday, but now I doubt it. She wants to know if anyone else knows about this or if anyone has an idea about it. Here is the report verbatim as she told me:
"At 4:00am I got up to get ready for work, I put my hearing aid in and went to put on makeup, when I came out of the bathroom I noticed a bright light coming through the curtains on the small window. I opened the curtains and saw something horrible. There were three blindingly bright objects, they were brighter than anything I have ever seen, brighter than magnesium burning, they were orangeish white in color and were just sitting there. I initially saw one and the other two were behind it. They lasted for 5-6 seconds before they just disappeared, they were steady the whole time.
I couldn't tell if they were on the horizon or between the houses. They all made clicking sounds like a light switch as they disappeared. I asked my mom what size they were and she told me they were the size of a full moon, the window she's talking about points west, its a fair sized yard and has a house next to it, you can see the horizon and street from it well as I recall. Whatever she saw has scared the living daylights out of her and she tells me she wishes she never saw it. My mom is computer illiterate and knows nothing of new technology. I tried to talk her into getting a camera (disposable) so she could take pictures if they returned, but she doesn't want to spend money on it (typical). Has anyone else seen this, she got a callback from channel 5 Weather who suggested space debris but she's still panicked. If I were there I would believe she thinks its some sort of supernatural occurrence based on her reaction. She's pretty old but works 3 jobs and has all her senses about her. I don't think it was a hallucination or something with her personally, her reaction makes me wish I had seen it.

Truck, Cell Phone Dies - Circular Craft Witnessed

According to the state of Indiana, I am a licensed Detective. However, I work for a Security firm at the Delphi Electronics Headquarters in Kokomo, Indiana as a Professional Security Officer. It started first when I got into the officers truck to pick up another employee who was at one of our buildings across the street. I managed to make it over to where he was, and then as I started to drive across the street I noticed the lights on the truck were dimming at a fairly steady pace. I barely made it back across the street before the lights, all of the gauges stopped working, and the brakes and power steering went out in our company vehicle, and the vehicle completely died. The officer and I radioed to our supervisor to let him know about the truck. I was then given another truck to drive, and I had parked it outside one of our gates long enough to drop off a lunch box that had been left in our now broken down truck only 10 minutes prior. I had been in the guard shack for only probably five minutes before walking outside to see the first orange light.
I quickly pointed to the light and motioned for her to look. Shortly after a Delphi employee walked up behind us and also was able to see the light. After the first light we were able to see multiple amber colored or orange colored lights pulsating. They would come on, and then they would go off, and they were moving in all directions. At times it almost looked like the lights were together creating a bigger circular shape. You could also see what looked like smaller white twinkles behind the orange or amber colored circles. I tried to make a phone call to my parents, however my cell phone was not fully functional due to whatever was going on. It took nearly 20 minutes for me to get in touch with my parents, and my phone was still not working all the way. My parents said that the family cat was acting like something was wrong, and kept looking outside the windows all night almost in a panicking state. My dad went outside with some binoculars and he and my mom looked into the sky to see the same exact thing we were all seeing at Delphi. (Mind you, this is 20 minutes after the fact). I was only one the phone briefly with my parents, as they said they quickly got off the phone with me after saying they witnessed a multi colored circular object over their neighbors house. In addition I can say that we had several nitrogen alarms and hallo alarms come in within 20 -30 minutes of me seeing these objects....
UFO, I don't know, but I think something was going on. What other explanation could there be for the cell phones not working, and for the alarms to come in, and for the truck. In fact I was told yesterday that they took our truck to the shop, and the people at the shop can't explain the problem with the truck. I heard that it might not be fixable. So you do the math, was it a UFO ?
A Triangular UFO With Lights

Walking into Superstore in Coquitlam and there is a flight of stairs that you have to go up, so I am turning the corner from coming up out of the underground parking, out of the side of my eye I see something, a light of some sort but it's above me. I look up and I see a triangular object traveling northwest to southeast. It had three lights, two in the back one in the front. The first words that come out of my mouth are holy crap, and another guy that was beside me looks at me as I'm looking at others to see if they can see this thing. Then I look back at the object and I hear that this guy that was beside me say "What the hell is that?" it continues in the same direction but the lights seem to dim as it moves away from us until it was just not there. Total length of sighting was approximately 5-10 seconds there was no sound and it was at low altitude. I don't really know what to say about the approximate size. I would have to guess average house sized but that could be inaccurate due to not knowing the actual altitude of the aircraft.

I was going to the store to buy a few things and glanced into the sky to see a flock of seagulls passing over head as they commonly do when the tide is low or whenever there's an abundance of food available, when, through the flock and remaining stationary was this disc with what seemed to have something sticking out above it or at least the appearance of something solid. It moved very slowly, so as I walked and without noticing where I was going bumped into 3 girls between roughly the ages of 16-18 and one girl said " look a bird that's stuck, it can't flap it's wings". I apologized for bumping into her and continued to look up at the object. One of the girls muttered, "hey, wouldn't a bird fall?" I turned toward them and just said wow at first because here I was with other witnesses, and secondly because I've got a daylight sighting here. Now when it comes to physics and aerodynamics I can safely say that I do know what I am seeing when I am seeing it, and this thing just rotated a little and never wavered for about 2 minutes, long after the girls had gone.
Falling Object Comes To A Complete Stop - Hovers

My husband and I were driving approximately west bound at about 6:00pm PST. In the sky was a bright, glowing light falling toward earth with a bright tail of light. First thought that it was a falling star, but both of us realized it was huge and too close to the earth for that and said to each other, its going to crash into the earth. Then it stopped falling and appeared to hover, the tail of light extinguished and the main ball of light remained very bright. It faded in and out and then traveled horizontally very quickly. Another glowing light seemed to be circling around it in a wide pattern.
Both very bright lights, brighter than airplane headlights. Farther away from these two was another light, blue, and very small. It seemed to be circling these in a very wide pattern and we thought it to be airplane watching the phenomenon. We didn't pull over and kept driving toward them, but, they got lower to the horizon and we lost sight of them behind trees as the road we were on dipped. When we got back to an unobstructed spot, the lights were gone. The event lasted about 5-10 minutes. Despite the highly visible, quite spectacular and unusual display in the night sky, not one report of it could be found on news stations or in the OC Register. In discussing it's location, we estimate that it was approximately 50 miles away which would make it over LA County even though we were seeing it from Orange County.

I was getting ready to enter the 57 Fwy South from Imperial Hwy in Brea, Ca. when I saw what initially appeared to be a falling start. With in second from the first sighting a second flame looking light flew in the same direction of the first. They would stop and a bright light would emerge and than start moving again. Every time they started to move, it looked like a ball/tail of fire. I saw an aircraft that was initially heading North start to circle the area and that is when the objects vanished. I have never seen anything like this. My wife and kids also saw the same objects. I stayed up most of the night thinking of what It was that I saw and so I decided to search the internet. This is how I found your site.
Another Witness To UFO Sighting (Aircraft Chases Unknown Objects)

I was leaving the "It's A Grind" coffee house at Tustin and La Palma Avenues, where the 91 and 55 freeways meet, some time after 6:00pm, Saturday, January 26th, 2008. As I was leaving the parking lot, may car was pointing north. It was at that point that I notice two exceedingly bright objects appear to descend from the clouds about 10 o'clock relative to my position. As I focused my attention, I then saw what looked like not two but three lights, all in a row like Orion's Belt, but right at cloud base height, which was rather low because of a series of rainstorms that have been passing through.
As I watched, I realized that two of the lights were not like anything I've ever seen, and the light closest to me was what appeared to be an airplane heading toward the two much larger much brighter objects.The objects were very large and very bright in comparison, a whiteish to yellowish orange color, almost flame like, at first, but much brighter and steadier than that. They were oblong shaped from my perspective. They had a definite shape, not mere points of very bright light.
There also appeared to be some sort of aircraft circling in very tight circles, as soon as these objects came to a stop at cloud base. Because of the tightness of the circles, I took it to be a helicopter. This would have made a total of four objects, the two bright steady "orbs", an airplane, and helicopter. All this transpired in no more than 10-15 seconds. The whole formation seemed to then move in a direction away from my position, toward Los Angeles, and so got lower in the sky and was obscured by palm trees and buildings near me.
Realizing that what I was seeing was not anything even close to ordinary, I took off in my vintage Datsun 280Z sport car at a high rate of speed in that direction and tried to get a better and longer view, if not a photo on my laptop webcam. By the time I got to Miller Street, heading north, I saw the two huge orange-yellow-white lights appear to gain incredible speed, heading to the North-northwest, abruptly disappearing in the process, about the time I reached Miller and Orangethorpe. I proceeded west on Orangethorpe and then watched the helicopter and airplane break off their apparent investigation and pursuit. The plane completed one or two circles first, before finally heading in my direction, flying directly over me, heading south on what looked like a flight path toward John Wayne Airport in Orange County.
Judging by the size and distance of the plane,which was a medium sized twin turboprop engine plane, perhaps a 10-20 passenger executive model, all of this appeared to take place over Fullerton, not far from Fullerton Airport. Another thing that struck me as quite odd was the tightness of the circle the airplane had made before it came in my direction and over my head. I had never seen a plane make that tight of a circle. If I had not seen a plane pass over me, I would have had to guess it was something else.
I live in this area, and have for many years. It is right under the flight-path for the approach to John Wayne Airport, so very low and slow flying aircraft of all kinds, big and small, including many helicopters are a daily, and nightly occurrence here. I can tell you with absolute certainty, that the two lights in question were like nothing I have ever seen in these skys, and in a part of the sky where aircraft landing lights would never be seen, which is why my attention was so immediately riveted to them when I saw them.
Someone MUST have a photo or video of this! There has to be some archived radar data showing the helicopter and airplane that were circling and/or tried chasing them, only to be left in the dust. This was an extraordinary sighting, which I had mentioned to no one, before seeing this report on the Rense website. I can verify that the other reports seem to be in complete agreement with what I saw, or nearly so.

My girl friend and I were going to dinner before our winter formal. We were on our way to Olive Garden when we saw what looked like a comet. It was falling at first and it had a tail, giving me reason to think it was a comet. I jokingly said, oh its a UFO and as I said that it moved back up and hovered for about 30 seconds right next to another identical object. One of the objects disappeared into the clouds while the other was moving from left to right and in flat circular patterns. It did this for about three minutes until it also disappeared into the clouds.

My family and I were headed east on the 91 freeway at Beach Blvd. when my son noticed bright lights to our north-east, towards Ontario. We all watched for 3-5 minutes as 2-3 bright lights shown brightly and stationary, then fell towards earth with a tail, much like a meteor. The strange thing was the fall would stop, then the light would go out, and reappear some seconds later in the same location. I was driving and could not focus completely on the event, but my family was in rapt attention. Traffic on the 91 freeway slowed to a crawl, which I think may be related to everyone watching what we were seeing. No mention on the news or anywhere, which is how I found your site.

I was on my way to the HAT in Brea to pick up some food for my family. I seen these lights in the sky and at first I thought it was a meteoroid rock falling in the sky until they started actually going back and forth. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me, then I seen one of the lights disappear and then the other, within a few seconds they both reappeared. I had called my boyfriend at 5:50p.m.and told him what I had seen, he didn't believe it. I really thought I was seeing things and when I pulled into the HAT parking lot I seen all these other cars parked and staring into the sky. The objects seem to keep falling down and I had noticed what seemed to be a plane circling around them. I really don't know what it was but it kind freaked me out.

Another Witness Reports Seeing Falling UFO - Hovering

My son and I had just left the Brea Mall on Saturday 1/26/08. We went across the street to the Hat for dinner right before 6:00 pm. As we were turning into the parking lot facing south, we saw a line a fire across the sky. There was a small plane in the sky and at first we thought the plane was on fire. The plane continued on, and it then the light looked like 2 falling flames. these then became 2 bright balls that were hovering in the sky.it appeared as if one of them had a tail of flames behind it. One ball disappeared and then the other appeared to start falling but disappeared from our sight.
